Anti-Perspirant deodorantlar içeriklerinde bulunan jel benzeri bir madde sayesinde derinin üzerinde koruyucu bir tabaka oluştururlar. Bu tabaka ciltte uzun süre etkisini devam ettirerek daha az terin bakterilerle bir araya gelmesini sağlar. Koruyucu tabakanın etkisi bir süre sonra çözülmeye başlar ve tekrar Anti-Perspirant deodorant uygulanana kadar ter serbest kalır.
